must be consistent with your CV, because the university interviewer will almost certainly ask questions about them. If something in your answers is different from your CV, it can create confusion and negatively affect the outcome of your interview. Universities enjoy consistency checks almost as much as airports enjoy removing water bottles from innocent people.
Do not invent experience or exaggerate responsibilities. Speak naturally and confidently about the experience you genuinely have and explain clearly how it relates to the course you are applying for.

How will studying a Certificate of Higher Education in Public Health with Foundation CertHE help you in your career? What are your future plans after this course?
For example, you can use it in future, just change some things.
Studying the Certificate of Higher Education in Public Health with Foundation (CertHE) will give me the knowledge, structure, and qualifications I need to change my career path and enter the healthcare and public services sector. I have worked in customer service and retail supervision for over five years, where I developed essential skills such as leadership, problem-solving, communication, and teamwork. But now I am ready for a new direction—one where I can use my skills to make a positive difference in people’s lives, especially in the area of public health.
This course will help me understand key public health issues such as disease prevention, community wellbeing, health inequality, and the role of government and social policy. I will gain both theoretical and practical knowledge that will allow me to work in entry-level roles in healthcare, public services, or the voluntary sector. It will also improve my communication skills with vulnerable groups, increase my understanding of cultural diversity, and teach me how to promote healthier lifestyles through education and support.
One of the main reasons I chose this course is its flexible study mode. It allows me to continue working part-time while studying, which is important for financial stability and work-life balance. The foundation year will also help me refresh my academic skills and prepare me for higher education, since I have not studied in a formal setting for several years.
After completing the course, my plan is to work in the NHS, local government, or a non-profit organisation where I can support public health programmes or awareness campaigns. I also hope to continue my education in the future by progressing to a full degree in Public Health or Health and Social Care. Ultimately, I want to build a long-term career helping people live healthier, more informed lives and contribute to making public services more effective and accessible for all communities.
